Simple Gifts

Thursday, Jan 5…
Whatever may have happened this day couldn’t have been too significant. This is the only picture I have. I love trees, and I loved the shape and laciness (?) of this one.

BlogThoughts…  This is a huge campground and there are a fair number of permanent residents, which in itself isn’t terribly surprising. What does surprise me is the number of school-age kids. They play video games on outdoor monitors, ride bikes w/ friends, and generally act like kids anywhere else. They don’t seem to be in school, but I don’t know if that’s due to the school schedule or b/c they’re home-schooled.  Another permanent resident – a single gal maybe in her 50s and still working – told me her rent (which includes all utilities and trash pickup) was $850. There’s a pool, picnic areas, lake access and some spectacular sunset views. Not a bad deal.
and an FYI... As I preview each post I notice sections in small type that some of you probably hate. I didn't type it that way, honest.

  1. I agree - that lacy tree is pretty cool. Looks like you may have found a potential retirement location. ;)
