Pedaling in the Wind

Sunday, Feb 12…
Slow day. We were supposed to move out, but there are high wind warnings (and possible snow) so we’re hanging out here for another day. Back to the laundromat, but I know this place now. I have all the quarters I need, I know which dryer is iffy, and I've remembered to bring things to do. Piece of cake.  Greg took care of several catch-up chores.

I can barely pedal, but Greg can manage pictures.
In the afternoon we took our “RV” bikes (very basic and they collapse into a roughly 30x24x10-inch block) out along the Pecos Riverwalk. (And yes, there was wind.) Greg used a bike to get around when he was racing, but I haven’t been on one for 20 years. The wheels are small, so the ratio of wheel to overall height is different. I managed, but I never really felt like I had control. More practice definitely needed!

Two other rigs pulled in today – a couple from New York, and another from Iowa. Always fun to hear other folks’ stories and recommendations.

Yes, it's backwards, but if I'd shot from the
other side there wouldn't be a sunset. 😃
(This entrance isn't used anymore.)
