Saturday, May 6…
More rain this morning. Greg has a
shopping list of items for minor repairs, and I have 2 loads of laundry to do.
Off to town (Morehead, KY) we go. I stock up on quarters, get my loads going,
and settle in to read. Ninety minutes later, we’re both finished and on our way
back to the campground. The weather is still marginal and we know we’ve got a lot
of route/campground planning to do, so we’re just kind of hunkering down for a
boring day. I’m frustrated, though, b/c we’re on the road again tomorrow and I
feel we’re probably missing some interesting things in Lexington. About 1 o’clock
it dawns on me that we don’t even get
to Lexington until tomorrow. This is one of those in-between-destination stops.
I’m much happier planning now. 😃
Below is a photo chronology of our late afternoon walk.

Raining in full sunshine, Cool. (taken thru MH windshield) |
The lake is as pretty as any rainbow. |
Two roads diverge... As soon as we set out to see if we can find a rainbow, the sun disappears. |
Almost "home," and the sun's back. |
After Lexington we’re off to the Mid-Ohio
Sports Car Course (near Columbus), where Greg & I are both working races on
Friday & Saturday. This time I’ll be in the control tower recording calls (making
notes on content) that come in from the flaggers. That should be interesting.
From there we’ll head into Pennsylvania.
BlogThought... (I had one a few minutes ago. When it comes back, I'll update this page.)
