Ohio

Thursday, May 11…
Cement on the right.
Travel day… off to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (NE of Columbus). Good news is no rain as we traveled. Bad news is it had rained a lot here (Ohio) over the past few days. The camping area for workers is a mostly cleared and somewhat level wooded area. As Greg was maneuvering the MH to back into our site, the 4 rear tires dug into the mud… and we all know what happens as you try to rock 11 tons out of a rut. I was concerned (and Greg had asked for a tractor tow), but then I found some flattish concrete blocks that he was able to slip into the deepest rut. Both vehicles are now safely settled on slightly drier ground. Phew!

Snug in place until Sunday.

Not really much to report. On our way today we skirted both Cincinnati and Columbus. The irises were at the Ohio Visitor Center. Last year my purple ones put on an amazing show. Who knows what will happen this year.

Columbus... and traffic.

Beautiful!
