Dinner with Family

On the road to the Augusta area, camping at Petersburg Campground on J Strom Thurmond Lake. Beautiful site overlooking the lake (which is quite low, but still pretty). Greg grilled up some pork ribs, and we shared dinner with extended family members.

BlogThoughts... Despite (or maybe because of) our family's size, we're not actually super close. We are definitely in touch, though. Greg never really parented Stephanie (or her 2 adopted siblings), but he had contact with them throughout his marriage to Sandy. Prior to this evening, I'd only met Stephanie once, and that was by chance at a Best Buy store 20 years ago. Still, she knows the kids adopted during Greg & Sandy's marriage (and quite close to Lisha, his oldest daughter), so there was lots of catching up as well as general conversation. Fun evening.
