Surf & Turf Beside the Pool

Thursday, April 6…

Haircuts for both of us, then grocery shopping. We’re having dinner with Joseph and his partner tonight. They’ve got shrimp; we’re bringing steak (and cheesecake). They have a nice little home w/ a pool in a quiet suburb of Orlando. Rocky’s into antiques, especially Italianate pieces, so the décor is interesting. Joseph is the breadwinner (we’re not sure what Rocky does, but they’ve been together for 19 years and seem to be happy). It was a nice, generally relaxing evening.
(Rocky does not actually have a
knot or bump on top of his head)

Driving to St Augustine the next day we realized we'd forgotten to take photos. We texted Joseph and asked him to take a selfie. Apparently they sent it w/o looking at it first. Joseph's on the left - oldest of the adopted 7, and last to be adopted. He chose to leave Korea b/c he knew there was no future for him there as a mixed race individual.)

BlogThoughts... No thoughts. (I'm writing this a week after the fact and the days right after Cuba are getting pretty fuzzy. We didn't take many pics, and I'm lucky to remember what we did. Significant thoughts? Not a chance.) Lacking anything of travel interest, I'll share a couple pics of our home. We really are very comfortable in this rig. Definitely no "I can't wait to be back in my own bed" (which may be b/c we actually have our own mattress on this bed). We have plenty of room, adequate storage, and it's easy to keep things reasonably neat & clean. No complaints.

Living area w/ kitchen.

Dinette/computer station and fridge.
