Travel Day. Great start, then about
10 miles out the road is closed: BRIDGE OUT. We turn south as directed by the DETOUR sign and travel through a small town. Several minutes
later we realize we’re gonna have to re-route ourselves. We turn west onto the
next 4-lane divided highway, locate it on the map and proceed accordingly. Shortly after we had re-oriented ourselves, we passed huge fields of an unusual "crop" - solar panels!

Gunter Hill Campground (outskirts of Montgomery) has nice big sites, but the road needs repaving and spews up clouds
of dry dust every time a vehicles passes our rig. Greg has hosed it down a few times, which helps.

Missed Site... FDR's Little White House (Warm Springs, GA). Tourism isn't a top priority with us, but sometimes there are spots we wish we had stopped to visit. Today, as we were
re-navigating south of our planned route, we saw a couple signs for the Little White House, the private retreat FDR had built b/c he visited Warm Springs so often. (The springs couldn't cure his polio, of course, but they did relieve some of the pain and/or stiffness. He loved going there.) The side trip would have cost us an hour or so, so we skipped it. We will not skip Hyde Park, however, when we're in New York. (I am a great fan of Doris Kearns Goodwin's books on the Roosevelts.)
