Cape Ann, Day 1

Friday, June 16
Off the kennel premises by 8am, but just half a mile away in a Home Depot lot. Finally wrapped up details of a couple financial transactions so we can focus on fun again. Out of town before noon, heading NE to Cape Ann (Gloucester, Manchester-by-the-Sea). After we settled in the campground and ate a quick lunch, we looped up around the NE tip of the cape and south again into the artsy little town of Rockport. We strolled along Bear Skin Neck, an irregular, protuberant chunk of land with lots of shops (funky to high end), restaurants, and a tiny motor lodge.

some background info

My fave... the 2 pastries we
bought were excellent!

(I just liked the sign)

Greg picked up fresh salmon
and lobster... 2 good meals
on the horizon.

An interesting bit of historical trivia.

Harbor and town from the jetty.

I like a town w/ a sense of humor.
